Daily Bible Reading

In order for our relationship with God to grow, we talk to Him and listen to Him repeatedly. That is why we read the Bible and pray daily. To help us in our listening, we read a chapter of the Bible every day. The verses that we are focusing on this week appear below. If you click on the verse, a window will open to the whole chapter. Join our community in listening to God today!

The great prize - the great reward that will be presented to the great King of all the earth – is it not you? Do you get a sense of how important you are to God?

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good words, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)
There is no handiwork that can equal God’s workmanship — you! He has created you with special gifts and talents to use for His glory. How are you using your unique abilities for God’s work?

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. (NIV)
With so many people in the world, you may not feel important or special. You are! God worked very carefully to make you the unique, precious individual you are. When was the last time you felt special?

Psalm 8:5
Yet you made them (human beings) only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honour. (NLT)
You may be wondering if anything you plan today will really make a difference in the big picture — after all, you are but a speck of dust on the earth. But in God’s eyes you are the crown of that vast universe. Is it easier to see yourself as a crown of glory or as a speck of dust?
